Kennedy El Centro Middle School Water Loss

The hardwood floor in the gym of Kennedy Middle School warped and buckled from water absorption from a burst main. Our SERVPRO team responded fast to assess the damage and start the water extraction. We achieved our goal and the hope of the City of El Centro of salvaging the hardwood boards. These floors are very expensive to replace, but our experienced team can deploy the latest and greatest techniques in the water restoration industry. We understand the critical need to dry the underlying concrete pad ridding all excess moisture thoroughly. The work in progress illustrates the billowing "tent," which compresses the treatment area to the targeted damp floor, thereby reducing the workload of the pictured LGR low-grain refrigerant dehumidifier. Rapid, but controlled recovery to preloss moisture content level, is key to salvaging the flooring.
